In the second season of The Barman TV, auditions will hold in the following West African countries. Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria & Senegal. Bartenders from neighbouring countries are invited to attend. Dates will be announced in early September, 2017
If you are successful at the auditions you will be invited to bootcamp which is a week long practical training and development workshop to prepare you for the competition with the best bartenders and mentors in the world. In season one, the contestants had the opportunity to be trained and mentored by:
- Tom Dyer – Multiple World Flair champion
- Colin Asare Appiah – Senior Portfolio Brand Ambassador Bacardi
Announcements for trainers and mentors for season II will be made in early September 2017
The competition will start immediately after bootcamp and will last for 7-10 days. It will be filmed in Lagos, Nigeria.
While only one bartender will be named The Barman TV winner, there are considerations for the following participants
Top 12 Semi-Finalists
Will receive a limited edition bar kit & apron as well as an opportunity for profession grading and certification with the World Flair Association & Wine and Spirits Education Trust. Leaving you better equipped to continue in your career.
Top 3 finalists
Will be appointed as Brand ambassadors of The Barman TV and will get involved with The Barman TV’s education programs in their respective countries.
The winner will proceed on a tour of participating countries working guest shifts, she/he will be mentored by a top bartender and will also have the opportunity to visit distilleries and attend more advanced training programs
